• Academic Qualification: The candidate must have successfully passed the Class 10th (Secondary School) examination from BSEMB Gwalior or any other recognized state/central educational board.
• Age Limit: No restrictive upper age limit for open school and private candidates.
• Transfer of Credit (TOC): Candidates who could not clear one or more subjects from other recognized boards can avail credit transfer benefits to complete their 12th certificate smoothly.

Examination Scheme & Passing Standards

• Marking Distribution: Each subject carries 100 marks. For theoretical subjects without lab work, theory carries 80/100 marks. For science/practical subjects, theory carries 70 marks and practical/viva-voce carries 30 marks.
• Passing Requirement: A candidate must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject (both theory and practical components separately) to obtain the Senior Secondary Certificate.

  • Distinction: 75% and above
  • First Division: 60% to 74.9%
